The Go M.A.D. team are contacting local businesses to ask for funding, free or cut price goods and services.  To start with, they’re looking for agreement in principle.  As community groups come in with projects that need specific resources, the team will go hunting for those particular materials.

Underpinning the whole operation is the generosity of South Hook LNG, Milford Haven Port Authority and Costain who pledged financial support back when the project first started.  Since then, other businesses have joined the project by offering goods and services.

Says Claire Palmer, head of community development:

'MHPA are proud to be supporting GO M.A.D through our Community Investment Programme. As a Trust Port, Milford Haven Port Authority is committed to re-investing its profits to benefit local communities. It is great to be supporting a project that has the capacity and drive to assist so many local organisations and use the skills of our County's dedicated volunteers.'

The Go M.A.D. Team are delighted to welcome Costain, who have agreed to provide funding and a lot of help with sourcing equipment and materials needed for projects.  They’ve come up trumps by linking up with ACR Environmental (Wales) Ltd, a St Clears-based company, to provide skips for Narberth Museum, and introducing Davies Builders Merchants of Whitland who have provided extra special prices and service, helping the budget stretch a long, long way.

wpac9cb714_0f.jpg Thomas Scourfield & Sons have offered materials from their Carew Quarry.  This company has a well-deserved reputation for helping community projects and their list of beneficieries stretches back five generations.

South Hook LNG were the first company to come of board the Go M.A.D. Campaign, making it viable from the start.  Says Dyfed High Sheriff David:  “Without South Hook LNG’s early support, we would not have been able to set up the campaign so quickly.  They have given us credibility and funding, without which my team would have struggled to get Go M.A.D. up and running.”
